The Washtenaw Voice Illustrations
I created numerous illustrations for The Washtenaw Voice, the student newspaper at WCC. They were completed in Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and traditionally with ink and watercolor.
The illustration above was created in Adobe Illustrator for a front page article. It won third place in illustration at the annual Michigan Community College Press Association contest. For printing we decided to remove the sky to better integrate it with the design of the paper.
Below is a set of illustrations for an article about meal planning, including a hero image in traditional media (ink and watercolor), and a number of spot illustrations drawn in Procreate.
Finally, a set of four spot illustrations for upcoming local events, made in Adobe Illustrator, and one illustration for an article about a community seed library, done in Procreate.
